Overview •

This is my submission for the third Blackthornprod game jam themed: "Less is more". The game revolves around a candleholder which needs to escape the dungeon while keeping it's candle burning. This is my attempt on implementing dynamic lighting on 2d sprites.

How is it "less or more"?
The less candle wax you have, the more obstacle  is present.

Everything is made by me.
Here are the tools that I used:
Art - Aseprite
 Game Engine - Unity 3D
 Sound Effects - BFXR
 Music - BoscaCeoil

Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to create more levels. To combat this, I decided to make the final level have 2 endings. One for casual play and another for extra challenge. The easy one can be accessed by just hitting all the switches/pressure plates. The harder one can only be accessed by covering the entire level with wax.

Thank you for playing!

Great game ! I like the atmosphere, art and music :)

As a point of feedback I would propose adding the possibility to move multiple cells in a row instead of button mashing. Oh and a return button that could undo just one move could be really handy

Cheers on your entry !

well done

Really nice job. This is significantly above the curve of the jam. Looks good, feels good, unique and enjoyable concept.

Totally disagree with the other comment of having an undo- would have removed the punishment of making a mistake.

this is an amazing game! Love the concept I have never seen it anywhere before. I find the art and lighting are also really well put together it makes a perfect dungeon atmosphere. I only have 1 issue with the game though, its a bit hard I can't get past the 3rd level lol, I wish there was a tip or something. But other than that its a really good game and well polished! I would give it a 10/10.

Cool game, really like that concept, but my only issue is that there could be a button that undo's you last move because sometimes I almost finish the level and I trapped myself and I have to go through the entire level again. But besides that amazing game!
